Trilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Wilfred is known for his sharp legal analysis, cross-cultural fluency, and practical, results-oriented approach to navigating high-stakes matters.
Wilfred currently serves as a Senior Associate at Fumens Lawyers, where he contributes to the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. He regularly acts in matters involving commercial and contractual disputes, enforcement proceedings, shareholder conflicts, and regulatory investigations. With hands-on courtroom experience and strong strategic instincts, he is committed to delivering practical solutions and commercially sound outcomes for both individual and corporate clients.
Wilfred has successfully represented clients in a range of disputes, including a judgment of over $1 million in a property development profit-share dispute, settlement of a multi-million dollar dispute with the ATO regarding capital gains tax issues, and favourable resolution of ASIC compliance directions. He also has experience assisting clients with restoring eligibility for domestic building insurance and navigating ASIC complex regulatory framework.
Before relocating to Melbourne, Wilfred practiced in Hong Kong for four years at a leading full-service law firm, where he handled litigation and financial regulatory investigations for listed companies and international businesses. He also handled cases involving corporate finance, family law, criminal law and conveyancing.
