Yammie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Second Upper Honours) from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Yammie was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a Legal Practitioner in 2019 and subsequently obtained a Master of Laws from Monash University in 2020.

Since admission, Yammie has practised in family, property and trust, wills and estates, and commercial law. Yammie currently practises predominantly in family law.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Yammie is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
